Nadia Budde

Nadia Budde, born in Berlin in 1967, is one of Germany's most distinguished children's book authors and illustrators. Her very first picture book "Eins, zwei, drei, Tier" (Peter Hammer Verlag) was honoured with the German Youth Literature Prize in 2000. She won the prize again in 2009 for her biographical comic "Such dir was aus, aber beeil dich!" (Fischer Schatzinsel). Numerous award-winning books have followed. Nadia Budde also works as a translator. In 2017, she was nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. 2022 saw the publication of "Hundeblick Berlin - Ansichten einer Schnauze", her first comic not aimed at children.
