Aufbau Verlage is one of the last independent publishing houses in the German-language publishing landscape. Its origins lie in Aufbau Verlag, founded in East Berlin in 1945, into which other publishing houses were integrated after the reunification of Germany: Rütten & Loening and aufbau taschenbuch verlag atb in 2006, Blumenbar in 2011, Edition Braus in 2019, Ch. Links Verlag in 2020 and Die Andere Bibliothek in 2021. The books, e-books and audiobooks published by Aufbau Verlage discover literary talent, publish world literature, entertain and stimulate debate.
