Stěpánka Stěpánka Jislová

Czech illustrator and comic book author. She graduated from the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art in Pilsen and has published her short comic stories in a number of domestic (Aargh, Caves, BubbleGun, XEROX) and foreign anthologies (Bobla, Dirty Diamonds, CBA). She is the co-author of seven comic books. In 2020, she adapted Tereza Drahoňovská's story "Bez vlasů" (Hairless, Paseka, 2020) about living with alopecia into a comic book, which was published in German translation by Kristin Altmann at Edition Kommode. In 2023, she published her autobiography about relationships and love "Srdcovka" (Heartcore, Paseka, 2023), which is published in German translation by Julia Miesenböck at Voland & Quist this year. Both books won the Czech Muriel Award for best comic book.
