What do you do when a stranger offers you 6,000 euros just for a handshake? The petty criminal and loser Luca Stoffels doesn’t waste any time, even if Benedikt Bosch wants Luca’s soul for the money. The practitioner of dark magic sold his own soul to the demon Faffnir in exchange for happiness and unlimited success, and the demon wants to come and get Bosch very soon. But since the deal is transferable, Bosch would be off the hook if he finds someone who is unsuspecting enough to step in for him. In Luca, he has now found this fool, because he doesn’t believe a word Bosch says: demons, magic? Sure! But no sooner has Luca struck the deal than Faffnir actually appears. Luca only has 24 hours before he goes to hell, and the countdown has begun... Jan Bintakies has been working as an illustrator for 20 years. With “Ein verdammter Handschlag”, he makes his debut together with author Matze Ross. The exhibition shows six years of creative process, storyboards, character designs and numerous original pages.
