Filip Raif (*1973) is a Czech illustrator and graphic designer. In his own works, he playfully incorporates elements of mystification to explore the history of his native region – "Jak Vinca Priessnitz ke štěstí přišel" (How Vinca Priessnitz Found Happiness, 1998), "Finkamannla" (2015) and the endless postcard collection "AltvaterPohledy". Since 2015, he has been regularly publishing illustrations in Raketa magazine. As a colorist, he contributed to the comics"Zátopek" (2016) and "Zatím dobrý" (2018) by Jaromír 99 and Jan Novák. He is also co-author of the visuals for the music groups Kafka Band and Letní kapela. He still lives in Jeseník in the Sudeten area. In 2023, he published the comic love story "Sudetenlove" (Labyrint), which depicts the dramatic fate of young lovers against the backdrop of the dark times of the Czechia's recent past. The comic was published in German by Helvetiq in a translation by Katharina Hinderer.
