Marcello Quintanilha

Marcello Quintanilha was born in 1971 in Niterói (state of Rio de Janeiro). Self-taught, he began his career as an illustrator in 1988 with horror comics and then worked in animation for ten years. His graphic novel "Tungstênio" (avant-verlag) has been published in many countries and has also been successfully made into a film. "Hör nur, schöne Márcia" was awarded "Best Album" at the Comic Festival in Angoulême in 2022 and was published in German by Reprodukt in 2023. Marcello Quintanilha lives and works in Barcelona since 2002.
