Rubén Pellejero, born near Barcelona in 1952, is best known for his series Dieter Lumpen (Finix). He has published numerous other books with his scenarist Jorge Zentner and won the Angoulême prize for best album in 1997 for Le Silence de Malka. With Juan Diaz Canales, he has continued the cult series Corto Maltese, which has appeared in four volumes to date. His latest work, Barcelona's Dark Heart, is published by Schreiber & Leser in Erlangen.
