Melanie Garanin

Melanie Garanin, born in 1972, studied animated film in Potsdam-Babelsberg and has already illustrated numerous children's and youth books for many different publishers. She drew all eight volumes of the children's book series "Pippa Pepperkorn" by Charlotte Habersack for Carlsen Verlag. Since she began working on her first graphic novel in 2017, however, she has called herself a comic artist and would prefer to do nothing else. She lives near Berlin with her family and a bunch of animals. She writes about this and more on her blog.
