Sarah Burrini is a freelance illustrator and cartoonist living in Cologne, Germany. She published "Silly & Cone" in German MAD magazine, several short comics for anthologies and worked as an animator on German children’s shows like "Die Sendung mit der Maus" (The Show with the Mouse). She draws and writes the monthly comic for the children’s magazine "Benni". Since 2009 she publishes her own semi-autobiographical webcomic "Life Ain’t No Pony Ranch" which won the "Peng award" of the Munich comics festival and the "Sondermann award" of the Frankfurt Book Fair. After 2016 she is in 2018 once more nominated with "Life Ain’t No Pony Ranch" for the Max and Moritz Award. In 2014 she won the ICOM (Independent Comics) Award for "special achievement or publication". In 2018, her titular hero "Nerd Girl" presented the Comic Con Germany in Stuttgart. 2018 wins Max-und-Moritz for best comic strip. 2019 and 2021 she illustrated two short stories written by Peter Milligan: William Wilson Inc. for Ahoy and Monsters in My Life for Bad Idea Comics. More is in the works.

As a webcomic pioneer, she is a sought-after guest at panel discussions, podcasts and other media formats.
