Judith Kaluaji Jashita works as an illustrator in Kinshasa, publishes author comics and is one of the promising newcomers on the Congolese comics scene. Her drawings have appeared, among others, in the volume "Amazone BD," a project for female authors initiated by Asimba Bathy, which won a prize at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée in Algeria in 2010. Focusing on the issue of violence against women, Judith Kaluaji conceived her first solo exhibition in Kinshasa in 2014. In 2015, she published the author comic "Libala na semyamayi" ("Siren Wedding") with KINMASOLO and in 2018 "Bravour Derwej". In the same year, she participated in the exhibition "Stimmen aus Kinshasa" at GRASSI-Völkerkundemuseum in Leipzig, Germany, and exhibited at the National Museum of Kinshasa in 2019 as part of the African Comics Festival SABDAM. The focus of her author comics is mostly on feminist themes, especially dealing with the role of women in Congolese society.
