Frankreichs politisch-widerständige Comic-Frauen. Von Claire Bretécher bis Catherine Meurisse
Lecture by Martin Frenzel (Darmstadt)
Unlike in this country, there is a long tradition of political resistance in the bande dessinée in Europe's comic stronghold of France/Belgium - with female comic authors playing a central role since the May 68 student revolt in Paris. This lecture presents France's politically resistant female cartoonists and their works, which are still in vogue today: From Claire Bretécher, Annie Goetzinger, Chantal Montellier and Florence Cestac to Pénélope Bagieu and Catherine Meurisse.
