Horst Berner, born in 1953, studied graphics and art. Since the early 1980s he has been working for comic publishers in his "Comic Text Graphics" studio. His editorial and publicist work includes the complete editions of "Asterix", "Lucky Luke", "Blueberry Collector's Edition", "Isnogud", "Der Rote Korsar" and "Rudi". He appears as the author of "The Great Asterix Lexicon" (1999) and as a translator of "Blueberry", "Boule & Bill", "Empire USA", "Michel Vaillant", "Tassilo", "Asterix", "Lucky Luke “ and much more in appearance. In 1981 he was a founding member of the Comic Interest Group (ICOM) and in 1984 a co-founder of the International Comic Salon in Erlangen. In addition to comics, his passion is rock and pop music. As a permanent contributor, he writes for GoodTimes and Kult! magazines, is the author of The Beatles in Comics (2014) and has written music comics such as Bourbon Street, Love In Vain: Robert Johnson, Love Song” and “O'Boys” translated into German. He lives in Germany and France.
